MicroVeg Project is a complex, large and multi-stakeholder project which requires strong coordination. This made IDRC to recommend the establishment of an independent International Scientific and Impact Advisory Board (ISIAB) so as to ensure the greatest possible development impact and delivery of development outcomes. This Advisory Board's mandates are to support, advise, question and challenge the project work in relation to the Project Objectives and Outcomes, periodically over the course of the Project. The project management committee shall in turn seek to address the questions, concerns and recommendations of the said Advisory Board in the Project achieving project objectives and outcomes. Therefore, our Project set up a Board comprising Prof Victor Okoruwa of the University of Ibadan-Nigeria, Dr Victor Afari-sefa of the World Vegetable Centre, Prof Simi Afonja of the Child Health International (NGO)-Nigeria and Dr. Shamie Zingore of International Plant Nutrition Institute(IPNI), Nairobi. The Board members and scientific team on Project 07983 met in Cotonou, Benin Republic from August 21-24, 2016 to carry out an appraisal of the level of implementation of Project 107983, offers suggestions on how to achieve maximum impacts and provide advice on the remaining aspects of the project. The ISIAB, at the end of the meeting submitted a report of its impression. Read more from the synthetic report below.
